What are polynucleotides?
They are small fragments of DNA and RNA nucleic acids that are found in all organisms. Polynucleotides are completely biocompatible with the human body. They are responsible for the elasticity of the skin and its healthy appearance. In addition, they have an outstanding ability to bind large amounts of water, therefore they help to properly moisturize the skin structure. They also show a strong regenerating effect on the skin after diseases and even severe injuries
The polynucleotide chain not only attracts water molecules, but also combats free radicals by acting as a reducing agent for OH hydroxyl radicals, which tend to accumulate under stress, with cellular damage, or when exposed to external factors such as UV rays. The moisturizing and anti-inflammatory effect of polynucleotides helps to create optimal conditions for the growth of fibroblasts, thus increasing the elasticity of the skin.
Nucleotides, a natural DNA fraction, are an innovative ingredient in Plenhyage Medium because of their protective and antioxidant effects that reduce cellular damage caused by UV radiation or scarring.
The product contains high molecular weight polynucleotide chains, the biochemical properties of which make them capable of linking and retaining a significant amount of water molecules; they are mainly stored in the hydrophilic groups of the phosphated sugars of each nucleotide.
